Let me start by saying that we missed a week so look no further. We are on week 26 going into week 27. This week was extra special for us because it was so tough to pull off. It seemed like everything that could go wrong did.
1) Our Chef – Carrie Ortiz was under the weather and while we have had all kinds of hiccups, she always makes the sandwiches.
2) Than we had the family that was sponsoring the lunches who could not make it at the last minute (we were told Friday and had already asked other families to come next week).
3) There was a lady that was coming with her daughter to decorate bags (125) that did not show – and the family that was bringing her came and was so sick we sent them home.
4) One of our key personnel who does many things told us early Saturday morning that they could not attend.
Now we were really in a bind here and no one was biting to come to the rescue. But how many of you know that God loves us at our limits…amen. I got down on my hands and knees and called out to God for His help. Truth be told, I asked Him to do the entire thing. And guess what happened…we had one of the best Saturdays ever. Out of no where the Krupowicz family left Bristol for Providence with water and energy. The Andrews family left Coventry bound for Providence with Panera bread and sandwich making abilities.
That is how things get done in God’s economy. If you will do what you can, He will do the miraculous.
We thank the Macedo, Andrews, Securo, and Krupwicz families for their donations, love, support, and faith.
I hav e a secret to share, “GOD IS GOOD AND HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!!!”
This 1st EP of the year was cold and quick. We left the young ones home and rolled up and down the street as a team of 2. It was great to be able to share socks, warmers, and clothes this time…along with lunches!!! The previous weeks we did not get the opportunity to get out here due to holidays and weather.
What was most amazing about this 1st week was the reaction of the people we serve. I often here that everyone comes to help these people and “why do you keep worrying about going out there?” You can miss a week or two.
Well that was not entirely true. We were greeted with the people on the streets saying, “Where were you…we missed you.”
We are not missing any more weeks!!! We need your help, come on and Join EP!!!
This week we were joined by the Sottile, Lind, and Andrews Families as we rolled out to bless these people. The Sottile family was making their maiden appearance and sponsored all the lunches. Their business “HealthSource of Fall River” all came together and sponsored the lunches…which was great!
The Sottile’s are led by Dr. Sottile, a chiropractor with an amazing heart. We picked the song “Courageous” because of the mood of the Saturday and the people we were serving. The Sottile family was courageous in coming out and embracing the EP way. In addition to them the Andrews Family (this was there 3 appearance) was able to work out a deal with Panera Bread and donated all the bread this week. We hope to keep that going with them. The Lind family was on hand to take pictures and edit all photos. This was their 300th week. Ok…kidding, but they are hear all the time. Enjoy the songs and the video and please pass them along to all your people. We need you to Like the FB page, subscribe to this blog, watch the videos on the YouTube Channel.
